We want your Cardiff Devils match day experience to be as memorable as possible

When it comes to accessibility at Vindico Arena, we’re committed to delivering you the best customer experience. We are a member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme.

Not only will you have access to a range of services to support your every need, we also regularly review our match night arrangements at Vindico Arena to continually improve accessibility.

Tickets

We offer a reduced ticket rate for those with disabilities and their carers, which can be booked online here. When you arrive on game day, the security team will ask for supporting documents. These could include a medical letter from a GP or Nurse, a Blue Badge, or an Access Card. Please email us at [email protected] for more information.

Access to the Arena

If you have any specific access requirements – including mobility issues or vertigo – you can contact the Box Office team on 0800 0842 666 or email us at [email protected]. Our team are on hand to help you choose the seats that best suit your accessibility needs.  

The Arena itself is fully accessible for wheelchairs and you are able to access both levels without encountering any steps, a public lift is available for accessing the upper concourse. 

We have disabled toilets available on both levels and no radar key is required to access them.

Disabled Parking

We have a limited number of designated disabled spaces at Vindico Arena. You’ll find these spaces in the main car park adjacent to the arena and Cardiff International Pool. From the parking area there is a short walk to the main entrance.

Medical Conditions

You can bring your essential medication along to match nights at Vindico Arena so long as it’s labelled correctly and doesn’t pose a safety risk. 

You’ll also be able to use our dedicated First Aid room to administer your medication in private if you need to. You can arrange access to our First Aid room by emailing your details to [email protected] ahead of the match night. Alternatively, you can speak to one of our stewards on arrival.

All of our match night stewards are trained to deal with emergency situations. If you begin to feel unwell, please notify your nearest steward. They’ll then be able to take the appropriate action.

Snacks or drinks required by diabetic supporters on genuine medical grounds are permitted, subject to showing relevant supporting medical documentation.

Supporting Documentation can be:
A medical letter from a GP or nurse
Equipment to treat diabetes and/or hypoglycaemic attacks – such as insulin injections or a glucose meter
A diabetes ID card

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome on match nights at Vindico Arena. Please be aware though that noise levels can be high during games. 

If you’re attending match night with an assistance dog, please let our Box Office team know at the time of your booking, or email [email protected] so we can inform our security team.

ASD and anxiety-friendly spaces

We understand that numerous sensory challenges can make match nights can be a daunting experience for ASD supporters, (for example increased noise levels and flashing lights). For this reason, we have a dedicated area that provides quiet and comfort away from our match night atmosphere. 

You can arrange access to this area by speaking to the Box Office team at the time of your booking, or by emailing [email protected]. Alternatively, you can speak to one of our stewards on arrival. 

We would encourage you to contact us ahead of match night to let us know if you have any concerns or anxieties about your visit to us. We want to do all we can to help you feel confident, reassured, and excited about your visit.
