He was voted onto the First Team EIHL All-Star team at the end of the season by the coaches and GMs across the Elite League and also won the Forward of the Year for the Devils.

He helped the Devils win the IIHF Continental Cup this past season and was voted as the tournament’s Top Forward, scoring 5 goals and 3 assists in 5 games.  macdonald-v-nottingham-mar-9-RB.jpgBefore moving to Cardiff, he spent three seasons in Germany in the DEL2, winning a Championship with Ravensburg in 2022-23 before moving to Krefeld for the 2023-24 season.

"Josh is a high-impact player in this league and had an excellent first season in Cardiff," said Managing Director Todd Kelman.

"He skates so well and has a rocket of a shot, which makes him an offensive threat every time he is on the ice.

"Josh is also a great teammate, takes care of himself off the ice so he can perform on it, and leads by example every day in practice and in the room. We are ecstatic to have him back for another season."
