The Devils will be boosted this weekend by the return of Zach O'Brien. The forward has not played since the vital win over the Coventry Blaze on Wednesday 11th December. He flew home the next day for a family bereavement.
Defenceman Gleason Fournier will also return to the lineup after serving a two game suspension.
Todd Kelman spoke about the injury woes facing the Devils:
"We are obviously actively looking to add a player or two but we also know we have guys returning that are in week 2 or 3 of a 4 week recovery process. We expect to have MacWilliam back next week and Barrow is likely 2 or 3 weeks away.
"Getting O'Brien back right now is like signing a stud player mid-season, so his return is a big boost and obviously Fournier's ban is over now so that is another top player back in the lineup. Josh Batch returned two games ago and that was a massive boost for our defence.
"Riley Brandt went down last night in Guildford and it didn't look good. We will have more news on him once we get the results of an MRI scan.
"Anyone we add has to fit into the group we have and the system we play. We are hoping to hear back in the next day or two on a couple of players we are speaking to. Ideally we are able to have a player or two in time for the Continental Cup."
