Sheffield take game one of weekend series

The Devils welcomed the Sheffield Steelers in pre-season action on Saturday night in the first game of the weekend series between the two teams. After 40 minutes, the game was tied up at 2 apiece but three goals in the final 20 minutes saw the Steelers take the win.

Bayley Harewood had his best game of pre-season, setting up Ryan Barrow's goal late in the second period. He was strong on the puck and had a handful of good chances on Matt Greenfield in net for the Steelers. Local lad Sam Smith also made his debut for the Devils and looked solid on the blueline.
